BMW, a name that needs no introduction to all those automobile geeks. A brand that is so subtle in its engineering which brings in class and performance under one roof. The BMW 6 series GT is nothing less than a beauty from the outside and a beast under the hood. The 6 series Grand Turismo replaces the BMW 5 series GT and is based exactly in the same platform.
2018 BMW 6 Series GT Exteriors & Design
Well if we talk about the design of the BMW 6 Series GT, it bites of the predecessor by quite a mark. BMW thought of making the car look sportier and sleeker than the older model and has done a really great job. The new head lights look amazing and even extend all the way to the touch grille. That new grille design looks fresh which definitely closes up for better aerodynamics and now becomes the iconic design element of the newly introduced BMW’s.
The takeaway here is the roof line. The roof sweeps down from the A- Pillar sharply till the B- Pillar giving it look like a sweet coupe form. The hidden element that you may not notice at a glance are the smartly placed air intakes present neatly near the wheel arches and the rear spoiler which automatically deploys when the vehicle crosses 120 Kmph. In short – An amazing design to begin with which is surely going to be a head turner in the market.
2018 BMW 6 Series Grand Turismo Interiors
The exactly same scheme of high quality and upmarket feel is felt when sitting inside the cabin of the BMW 6 Series GT. The car comes with an option of the M-Sport package which brings brushed metal finishes which looks amazing to gaze at. The other trims would bring in matt wood finish all around, which definitely will look classy.
The dials seemed like changed its colors with the drive modes you put in the vehicle. Comfort would give you a different lighting experience and the sport will turn it Red in colour. The Centre console is the brand new 10.25 Inches touchscreen.
This touchscreen is crisp, easier to read and is powered by the latest BMW’s iDrive feature. Convenience is the key that makes BMW stand class apart. You can either talk to the system, use gestures, touch and scroll it or use the control stick to toggle between the options available.
The cabin felt spacious when inside and the driver seat was really comfortable. The rear seat gets itself a 40:20:40 spilt option which also enables you to recline the rear seats to your preference which is sheer comfort. The seats when folded down can also make the entire trunk usable for your airport transfers or to carry those bulky shopping bags.

Engine and Performance
This beast comes mated to a 1998CC petrol motor that churns out 255Bhp at 5000 RPM and 400Nm at 1550 RPM. The car comes mated to an 8- Speed transmission and you also get an ease of paddle shifters to manoeuvre around the city and the highway.
The car definitely performs well with such a petrol motor on board which makes the car reach to a 0-100 Kmph mark in 6.1 seconds. Don’t expect much in return in terms of fuel economy but yes it does the job pretty well within the city as well as on the highway.
