New 2020 Hyundai i20 destined for India Seen testing again. 2020 has been disastrous for a few but in terms of innovation and launches for the automobile industry, this year has seen a lot in the initial few months. Hyundai is also not that behind in terms of testing a few under its hood. The new i20 has been spotted testing in India and is set to be launched in August 2020.
Few details of New 2020 Hyundai i20 :
- Based on a brand new platform and new styling
- Expected to come equipped with a 10.25-inch touch screen, wireless charging taken from the sibling Creta and first in class ambient lighting.
- It will be powered by the new 1 litre T-GDI and 1.5 litre CRDI engine options
- To rival against the all-time favourite Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Volkswagen Polo and the Tata Altroz.
The new i20 is spotted to be testing in South Korea camouflaged ahead of its August 2020 launch. This will be the first time after long that the i20 is supposed to get a brand new engine option and completely redesigned exteriors.
The new model is set to be longer and wider than the existing model of the i20. The testing vehicle seemed to have a set of 17inch alloy which is unlikely to come down to India but should stick with the same 16inchers as of now for the models.

The new looks make the car sharp and better equipped with the current generation. Gone are those days when rounded edges were in fashion. This makes the car look far more mature than the existing generation.
We will speak about this more as we gain more insights from the manufacturer for the Indian spec car but till then we believe the BS6 equipped 1.2 litre Kappa will continue to power the petrol engine as well.
It is expected to have the same price range starting from 6.50 lakhs making this car fall under the category of the rivals like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Volkswagen Polo and the Tata Altroz.
