Maruti Suzuki had planned to launch the celerio X i.e. celerio with a tint of crossover looks on it. The automobile hunks have thought to woo the indian market with the launch if their hatchback series to join the leagues of crossover cars in india. Though the platform on which this car had been made will not make it compete with the Cross Polo or the I20 Active but will surely provide options in the 6 lakh rupee price bracket.

Some dealers have also started accepting the bookings at a price of 10000 indian rupees.
The new Celerio will come up with extensive styling on the front bumper the black side cladding saving it from the pebbles hitting while off roading with the vehicle and those roof rails has already made the car a bit longer than the previous model at 3715 mm , the width increased to 1635 mm and taller at 1565 mm. Though the ground clearance has gone down by 45 mm we think that it would manage in the indian subcontinent.
Celerio X Exteriors
Visually the car definitely looks amazing at this price point with blacked front grill with large fog lamps making it look muscular upfront. The new Celerio X would come equipped with roof rails and blacked side claddings and 14” blacked alloy wheels making the side profile look appealing to the eyes. The back also gets the bumper redesigned version of the cladding present with rear wiper, washer and defogger.
Celerio x Interiors
The interiors is the biggest setback with that all black theme instead of the black and beige seen in the earlier models. The new black seat covers with orange inserts make the car look sport with those sporty mesh designs in the front seats. It will also get driver side height adjustment, tilt steering, and steering mounted audio controls. The top of the line trim will also get options for keyless entry.
The car now also gets equipped with front driver side airbag and seat belt warning are standard across all the variants, while passenger side airbag and ABS are offered in options all through the range. The optional variant is the one to choose from as it gives more safety for the indian roads.
This is the department which has been unchanged for this variant of the car which still comes with a 998cc, 3 cylinder petrol engine which still delivers about 67bhp power and 90Nm of torque. We could have expected maruti to tweak the engine a little. Though the engine is a fun to drive engine having low noise what so ever while driving but a boost would have been appreciated.
The model will be offered in a 5 – speed manual gearbox and the very own 5 – speed AMT or the Automated Manual Transmission which runs on the previous model.
The celerio X is all set to hit the indian market this diwali in only the VXI , VXI AMT, ZXI and ZXI AMT version.
So get set ready folks for the all new inclusion in the Maruti’s lineup. The bookings will be open on all your nearby maruti dealers in India.
